aaah, to be young and working just to be able to afford a car and insurance. wait a minute. if he can only afford a car with insurance, he certainly can’t afford to move away and pay rent AND make car and insurance payments…?! i didn’t think this through very well, did i…

i’m suddenly VERY tired. why am i up?

i can take millions of photos of the cuteness of ozz, but i can’t photograph the amazing way he smells. he is the fartiest dog i have EVER come across. he gives new meaning to the phrase ’silent but deadly’…, ack!

i’ve been expecting my new camera and UPS dropped a package off yesterday. they dropped it OVER THE FENCE, into the backyard. where it was dragged around and eaten by dogs. thank goodness it was only my new tool bag and not SOMETHING ELSE. and, YES, i left them a terse little note for today’s delivery…

i saw an old, bald, pink-headed man in a baseball cap today, he was driving his cool, old mustang with the top down. it made me wonder if bald people remember to put sunscreen on their heads where the little opening is on the back of their baseball caps.

i finally got to go to the doctor for my ear. about 8 months ago, i punctured my eardrum with a q-tip when chipyoulittlebastard ran up my leg as i was using a q-tip [bad,bad,bad] to clean my ears. a few months later it felt like there was a swishing watery noise and now it’s always buzzing/ringing and my hearing is diminished. jeff, the hearing test guy, said my hearing is diminished and offered me his card, in case i may be interested in a hearing aid. the doctor offered me an mri to check for a VERY RARE, slow growing ear nerve tumor. but aside from that, he pretty much said i’d have to live with it. i was amazed, after he told me, at how upset and sad that made me. i guess when i go to the doctor with some ailment, i expect him to fix me right up.
i have epilepsy. i consider it ‘fixed’, at least to the extent that i don’t have seizures and i live a normal life.
i have migraines. not cured, but i have some damn good medicine.
i have hayfever. nice allergy pills fix that.
i had a nasty gall bladder. fixed.
when i was 6 weeks old i had pyloric stenosis and some nice doctor fixed that, too. no more projectile vomiting, yay!
i know that i’m lucky not to have some ache or pain only to be told i’m dying. i am grateful. but i SO didn’t worry about this, i just thought the doctor would fix it right up. so, i’ve been reminded. everything can NOT be fixed. my aunt’s breast cancer couldn’t be fixed. my father’s alzheimer’s couldn’t be fixed. a ringing ear is not so much compared to many, many things.

i ordered myself one of these. it should be here before i leave on vacation. i’m stoked and yes, i’m selling the old one to pay for it.
