buzzzzzzzz
dude. i think i have bees in my attic. nooo, not like bats in my belfry…
REAL bees. in. my. ATTIC.
we’ve been finding dead bees, now and then, for quite some time now. usually in my shower window sill. i kinda thought they might not show up anymore, after we tented the house for termites, but they did. once, from the backyard, i saw a few bees around the attic vent, up at the top of the house. zakk has seen some dead bees in a few other rooms, and even some live ones, but i never have.
until today. this morning, as i was plucking my eyebrows in the dressing room, i heard a buzzzzzzzt, crash. i looked up at the light inside my closet [which is also the opening to the attic] and finally saw a live bee, buzzing around on the other side of the light fixture. the spring, on one side of the attic opening, is broken and it doesn’t sit flush with ceiling. hence, bees in my house.
gah. if there’s a HIVE up there, it’ll cost me a bundle to have it removed, i just KNOW it will … poop.
.: addendum: i slept with the closet door closed :.
I would not be able to sleep. gah
How about getting one of those insect bombs and throwing it up in the attic? Then like 5 hours later, go in there and clean up, destroy the nest and Voila! It costs you like $5! Even better, tell your son to go clean it up for like $20. Still saves you a bunch.
LOL! i bet i’d have to pay him $100 just to go INTO the attic
Last summer I was finding half dead bee’s all over my house… turned out they were coming in from outside via a small hole in the foundation, traveling thru the pipes and coming out thru my kitchen sink. Ugh! Thankfully all I had to do is call management for the complex I live in and they got an exterminator and got rid of the bee’s. I was worried about the kids because with the bee’s being half dead they tended to be more aggressive. Anyway expect an email from me within a day or so. *hugs*
